That reminds me of Tubular Bells early on. Very mysterious bunch of guys.

Magic Sword are an electronic trio from The Shores of Oblivion. They are known for wearing cloaks and masks during their performances, so as not to reveal their faces or bodies.

The band consists of The Keeper (red, keyboard, audio-visual), The Seer (blue, guitar), and The Weaver (yellow, drums).

Could it be Shane , his great buddy Hypen and the May St Larder man, Guy Smiley? As to who is what colour I'm not too sure.

Here's a replay of the game if you'd like to see our academy pick Henry kicking goals for fun or enjoy all the Sharks kids trouncing the Vics.

Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Unfortunately I was late to the game so only saw the last quarter live and have only had the chance to watch the first half on replay.

Liam Henry (No 5) does look like Sonny and I can see his influence on him so far. I can't wait to get them training together full time next year. Great attack on the ball and player with a really strong work ethic. If you add that to his touch and class, he is a very exciting package.

Devan Robertson (No 10) worked hardest through the middle and is probably the best so far for me. Honest toiler who made good decisions and disposal was quite good. The hardest working player out there on Sat.

The other one I've been interested by is an East Freo player Luke Jackson (No 32) who played in the ruck but is probably undersized at AFL level. I'd like to see him with some more time spent up forward but his movement and ability through the middle was quite impressive.

For a bit of an outsider, I like the look of Trent Rivers (No 35) who happens to also be from East Freo. Does a lot of things well without being exceptional but I can see room to get there.

Biz's PA rang me at the crack of dawn asking me to get down there and fill in for the bloke - she was trying to sober him up but wasn't having much luck. So I did.

Henry was a standout for me, they tried a hard tag for most of the game but he still snagged 3.1 by the end - took him a while to get into it though. I agree with Biz about Luke Jackson - at 198cms and 94 kilos he was very very good, especially on the wing early. Good workers in the middle, you could throw a blanket over Robertson, Clarke and Garcia. The kid that really grabbed my attention was Tyrone Thorne (wore #3 on the day) - puny kid with big boots (167cms and 60 kgs) who kicked two straight long bombs from inside/outside the 50 late in the game. Big kicker, straight as an arrow drop kicks that weren't bothered one bit with the gusty wind on the day.

For the Vic Metro kids....well, what a bunch of precocious big white fellas. I'm sure they would go home with lots of stories to tell their grammar school mates, but they were never in the game - they seemed scared of us. Ok, if you were a Vic list manager and you felt compelled to draft one of those lunkheads Polly, who would you pick? Um, ...Joshua Worrell from Sandringham, but only because he seemed to have some goal sense.

Part of the reason why I went down to Lathlain was to have a look at the OOFTITS new ETAF. Wow, what a cow shed - I tell you, that building isn't going to win any architectural awards - maybe a tin garage commendation, but that's it. I sat there staring at it thinking "Yeah, if I was a homeless black cockatoo I'd bugger off from there too". The DFO place near the airport looks way better than that dump - perfectly suitable for those losers.

I watched the replay again last night and have had a bit of time to put my thoughts together. I've seen most of the players I mention before but this was a good chance to see them work together in a higher quality game for comparison. As a result my thoughts are probably intertwined with what I've seen previously.

Liam Henry (5) - I thought he was great when he had the ball, looked to be the real focal point of an undersized forwardline and had a lot of balls kicked in his direction. He always looked dangerous and was unlucky not to kick more. He played from behind a little too much but that was due to being undersized compared to his opponent. You couldn't let him run free and I look forward to seeing him get a few stints in the middle later in the tournament.

Luke Jackson (32) - He looks a great prospect as a second ruckman/forward with the potential to lead the ruck as a mobile jumping player. He moved so well around the ground and is incredibly agile and skilled for someone his size. He's happy to try and take a big pack mark before bouncing to his feet first and following up on the ground. He was tied for the most influential player on the ground vs VM and worked hard throughout.

Deven Robertson (10) - Hard working midfielder who loves the contest and uses his strong body and quick thinking to make a bit of room and space for himself where there's usually none. He's not fast but he wins the ball and gets it to the outside as well as anyone. He's also a very good kick and can take a contested mark vs other midfielders which should see him as a danger moving forward. Equally influential as Jackson.

Jeremy Sharp (17) - Sharp is an enigma for me. He always looks like he should be the best footballer on the park but I rarely see him as such. A big bodied runner (187cm) who is quick and agile is a template for a star footballer. When you throw in the fact he's probably the best kick in the draft, he should be in the No 1 talks. What I saw on the weekend was more of the same problem I've seen previously and I don't know if it's what he's been instructed to do or whether it's something that needs fixing. Either way I saw him float on the outside of the contest and not use his body when he had the opportunity to. I'd watch him closely over the championships but I really want to see him go through the contest and burst away rather than wait 10m off it for an easy handpass. If he starts to get involved more and find 20 touches a game consistently, he'll be an absolute jet.

Trey Ruscoe (26) - He's not tall enough to play as a KPD at AFL level (190cm) but he did a fantastic job on the weekend. His rebound and aggression were first class and he has some real speed and agility for someone his size. I liked his decision making which was constantly under pressure and first class. He made the right moves and disposed of the footy very well. It's just a matter of where you play him at AFL level. Hopefully he gets a chance rotating through the middle as I can see him as a big midfielder pushing off half back in the future.

Trent Rivers (35) - As I mentioned previously, he's a dark horse for the draft and I really liked his game. Good at pretty much everything and kicked an absolute beauty of a long goal from 55m. I'm keen to see more but I've seen far worse players rookied.

Ryan Bennell (34) - Silky smooth skills and even made Henry look like he was fumbling in comparison. He has no fear and attacks contest as hard as anyone despite a much smaller frame. If he runs at a ball, it's one touch and he invariably wins it. He didn't seem to have much space and was shut down quickly but he often didn't need much as shown when he outfoxed 3 Vics in a 3 on 1 to kick the point of the year.

Tyrone Thorne (4) - He worked well with Henry and looked to be a 1 touch player. Someone to definitely keep an eye on but not someone I'd seen much of previously.
