I think it was already a problem for him, either before the game or at least in the first quarter. Watching the replay, during the quarter time huddle, he had his boot off and the ankle was heavily strapped and one of the medicos was pushing and prodding at the same place they pushed and prodded when he came off later.

Alex was All Australian for sure in 2019 - However ... the footy rolls on and we will get to see the return of Harley, S. Hill and probably Sandi during the coming weeks, which will keep us in good stead leading up to finals. Exciting times to come, folks! For the record, I'm hoping the club extends Ross' contract for two years asap.

Having look at fixtures:

Rd 16 Kennedy
Rd 18 Franklin
Rd 20 Hawkins

He will be most missed.

Cox a solid option.

Maybe adds weight to Darcy coming back in and Lobb is the save all swing man ???

Other options that might be possible ? Kersten - where is he? Tobe Watson maybe a little short. Guess Cox could be the answer but is he fast enough?

Well it "Cometh the moment, Cometh the man" for Cox.

He proves hes a backman and an able replacement for Pearce, or....he's on the trade table I reckon...

If he can prove up an ability to swing from back to forward, he becomes one of our m9st valuable player.

None of our other bacls or forwards cam play that flexible role....so, all in all, Pearce's injury might be the making of Cox.
