Apart from the light show and bongo noises whenever Freo score, one other thing that irks me on game day is the hyper-excited behaviour of that young announcer bloke who takes the field before the game and at each break. Why, given he has the biggest PA system in the known universe at his disposal and a microphone in his hand, why, why why does he have to keep on SHOUTING? Do the muppets in the marketing dept think that, somehow, this banal crap they keep dreaming up to "entertain" us all is so much more exciting if the announcer SHOUTS at us?

The curry was quite good. My 11 year old son thought that the post goal stuff was silly, especially when we were getting seriously beaten.

They obviously are not listening to us so we may as well come up with some suggestions:
Opposition get 2 goals in a row....we pull the power, total darkness for a couple of minutes, to halt momentum. Then we send out security with infrared vision to injure as many as possible. Power back on, if they threaten goals again soon after, lights out for a few seconds as a warning. Repeat as necessary.
What could go wrong?

Speaking of the stadium in general, perhaps you could join my one man civil disobedience protest. I go outside at half time, either with a coffee or some chips, and there are recycling bins, but not rubbish bins. So I'm just putting my rubbish on the ground next to the recycling bin. If enough people do it, they'll catch on and put rubbish bins out there as well.
