My Observations
i.I walked away after todays game and it honestly felt like a loss. The skills were simply woeful and the performance demonstrated absolutely nothing to get excited about for the remainder of this season. In fact todays performance is the perfect example of the old the classic wallpapering over the cracks metaphor, sure we got the 4 points, but geez it was awful to watch.
ii.We have been sold all that guff about the saviour who is supposed to a focal target and has the ability to kick 50 goals a year, and yet so far he has not kicked a goal and we are 3 games into the season. Yep it doesn't help that he plays anywhere but near the forward 50 and we have no semblance of a game plan, but his body language and lack of pace today was horrible. This is going to be an awfully long season.
iii. Mundy hadn't done too much up until Fyfes KO, but gee he lifted after that and was responsible for getting us over the line. Great final quarter effort by him.
iv. Ryan's new hair colour was the tonic for him to be BOG. I suggest he stays blonde as up until now this season he has been a shadow of himself.
v. We won't get within 6 goals of the slime next week, with or without Fyfe.
