Single trades don't happen in isolation. Freo played a game of brinkmanship with GC17 last year over Weller and won. We didn't win because we were the smartest guys or the best negotiators, we won because there was very little risk for Freo in that trade. GC17 had more on the line, so they blinked first.
But the rest of the league noticed that, and the view now seems to be that Freo are unreasonable and no-one wants to be that poor Gold Coast bloke who got wedged on the deal. That hurts Freo in current negotiations, especially where it needs to make multiple deals to get to the result it desires.
The Brisbane deal will get done, because Neale will really help them and Freo would be fools to bring back someone who doesn't want to be there.
The Lobb deal will get done because GWS will likely breach the salary cap (although some other trades might have alleviated this).
The Hogan deal, I just can't see it happening now. Too much has to change in the next day or so, and I think there is too much animosity between the parties.
