Cletus, sorry, the question isn’t whether or not Lobb is elite. He is. The question is whether or not he’s injury-prone. The way he plays and the past back injury worries me, not whether or not he’s elite.
Yeti, NicNatNoStat is a freak of nature with his size and athleticism. He’s the quintissential low-stat player, but that one goal every three games helps win a match; that rare mark tends to be a mark-of-the-year screamer. In this way, dare I say it, he’s Cyril-like; he makes players around him better. And, finally, his bustle means even big-bodied mids play apprehensively when he’s around. He’s also rarely beaten (even compared to Sandi) in tap knocks because of his leap. Speaking of his leap, he’s a 101 kg beast coming off an ACL in both knees. I can’t see him contending for the Cyril-type role any time soon. Coming back from one ACL is risky enough. Ask Morabito, Menzel, Johnson about coming off multiple ACLs.
