From where we sit....a bloke like this would almost be our highest priority I'd reckon. - almost all our failure to launch over the past 'nearly 10 years' is a result of being unable to get 'key assets on the park'.

Apart from a new gameplan, if this bloke is acknowledged as 'the best' ...well...we should be front & centre in the chase for him.

Front & centre is something we do not do well, but yes, Purple Kit, lets live in hope for a coupla days

The more I read about our off-field staff, the more I think we would have more success at the "Commonwealth Games" & "The Olympic Games". Rowing, Sprinting, Marathon, Fencing, and 7s rugby would see us dragging in a huge haul of Gold medals.

We won eight games with a dozen players with under fifty games and how good was the first year players and the rookies Giro and Banfield
This season was young players thrown in the deep end and it showed against Hawthorn and North Melbourne this year.
Bodys will get solid and footy smarts will come with more games.
I am looking forward to 2019 to see the new era continue into the eight.

Broadly speaking, there are two types of clubs: those who recruit the best, and those who are forced to recruit the slightly less proven candidate in the hopes she or he grows into the role. If you think we're poaching the Hawthorn fitness guy, chances are you're dreaming.

In the right circumstances we could recruit an existing head of fitness, but they'd probably be from St Kilda, and we'd probably need to wait for the next GFC.
