Don't start that one up again coogee. It's known that he wanted to go tor Freo when he came back from Brisbane but we didn't want him. We were well into our Victorian skinny midfield draftees that amounted to nothing at that stage.

I’m just waiting for that story in the HS to be plastered in the worst anytime soon. To add salt to the wound, VDW and Belly are quite close and an invitation by VDW for Kelly to have a conversation with our pocket Korean which he flatly refused, stating that he’ll get back in 12 months if not now. Does this kid not know that if he walks after 2 years, without Geelong getting a deal done, that he goes back into the draft and the likelihood of him playing for the Slime is even further away. I thought some of these young blokes are well educated.

Why would you think these kids are well educated?
What did Tim Kelly do for a crust playing for Souths?
They are drafted and play a couple of good games and their managers get excited and are only concerned only his % of the $$$.
Managers are not interested in lifestyle / work balance and being on OK money and his % is so so.
Plus a manager would not want a player any say in end result as Cam McCarthy leaving GWS.

As yet another tremor rumbles across the south coast...I ponder on the voices in Kelly's head. Hates Freo, loves that other mob, and most laughable...wants to play in a top side. Well he had a little stinky finals game along with many of his team mates, so a little dose of humble with a little reality will be best for Timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
