TOPIC: Tim Kelly

Yes, it's very hard to fathom.

A player at a fairly successful club at the heart of football, would choose to come back home and his only choice is a club with a large supporter base, an influential media sponsor, 4 premierships and are current premiers, who more often than not contest finals, and play decent, positive attacking football.

Or Fremantle.

I like Kelly's football a lot. Sadly, if/when he joins that other lot he becomes just another knobber. I've seen it happen so many times, but it's inevitable.

Goodbye Tim.

So Drubbing you would suggest we all take up Eagles membership then?

No. I'd suggest Freo be successful as well. Well run organisations usually get results, and they often get to choose who they employ, not who they can get.

Well run organisations rarely produce crap results year in year out.

Freo are not well run.

I remember when Essendon seemed to have it all. Just because a club is well or badly run one year doesn't mean it always will be.

I really wish that other mob had an identity, like a place or suburb where they actually could identify with. Eg, if they were called Floreat or Butler or Kondoola etc, then it would be easier for people who live in Beaconsfield, or Spearwood etc, to make an easier choice. The fact that they are named in a way which isn't specific and all-encompassing (ie state team) makes it easier for a great many knobbers to go with them. Sneaky bastards.

But Drubbing you are still saying don't have anything to do with Freo guys until they are as good overall as the Eagles. Surely that doesn't help advancing the club. Hardly an incentive to bring players to the club. We are no good guys so stay away.
Would you say that to Hogan? And Lobb?

So, players interested in joining successful, well run club when looking to come back West, should come to Freo becasue they aren't such a club, but if they join them, then they might be, if lots of quality players think the same?

That's Jezzatastic.

Well if they are a forward they should join Freo because they won't get a game at West Coast.

Our midfield's not really that great either with Neale gone.

I'm not too fussed about this. I'd be suspicious if he'd bat both ways... which is what it sounds like Lobb is doing, but anyway, I do like what Rosich is saying about it even though Kelly wants to be a Weagle.

Basically said if Tim's so homesick he shouldn't be so fussy and if us and the Cats worked out a trade we'might do it and leave Tim to make the best of a bad situation.
