Yes, it's very hard to fathom.

A player at a fairly successful club at the heart of football, would choose to come back home and his only choice is a club with a large supporter base, an influential media sponsor, 4 premierships and are current premiers, who more often than not contest finals, and play decent, positive attacking football.

No. I'd suggest Freo be successful as well. Well run organisations usually get results, and they often get to choose who they employ, not who they can get.

Well run organisations rarely produce crap results year in year out.

I really wish that other mob had an identity, like a place or suburb where they actually could identify with. Eg, if they were called Floreat or Butler or Kondoola etc, then it would be easier for people who live in Beaconsfield, or Spearwood etc, to make an easier choice. The fact that they are named in a way which isn't specific and all-encompassing (ie state team) makes it easier for a great many knobbers to go with them. Sneaky bastards.
