Assuming we only play two talls in the forward line, (Richmond and Pies played one, Eagles played two) and those two are Hogan and Tabs, what the heck are we going to do with Dixon, Ape, McCarthy, Strdnica, Meek, Jones, Cox and Kersten??? You could add Logue to that list as well as with Duman improving in the back line, there is no guaranteed spot there either.
None of them are defenders though Cox started there. Hes as slow as Collins who we delisted for lack of pace and whilst Cox is a good mark, I thought we decided we needed more speed. Compared to Alex Pearce and Hamling and even the Fist, hes as slow as a wet week. if youve got good positioning you can overcome that as a forward but no way can he keep up with an elite forward. So Cox either makes it as a forward or he is gone. In his favour is his youth.
You would think two would need to be delisted of that group if we get Hogan. The problem is we havent seen enough of these guys to make a proper decision and we probably need another year to sort the wheat from the chaff.
