In his defence he’s probably only seen us play once or twice this year and just looking at the ladder doesnt tell a good story. I think we looked good early in the year when tabs was firing and it all went pear shaped once we lost a forward target. I think if we get hogan, conca, langdon elder, and only lose lachie (as much as I hate the idea), the overall improvement to our list will be positive. I think its time blakely was moved into the middle and a few other rejigs and we should put in a much more even performance than the last 2 seasons. The negative of course is that we don’t get young stars drafted into the team which will affect future teams and we’re back in the same predicament we have been in since our inception, sacraficing the future for a quick burst up the ladder.
I’m hoping this time it’s different and we can hold on to at least one first round pick somehow, hopefully through Brisbane’s desperation. This of course means we’ll miss out on Lobb but unless westcoast grabs him we can have another look next year if no one has come on.
