No way. We must hang on to the first round pick...4 or 5...but no way do we give both for Hogan.

According to Paul Roos, Hogan is worth more than a first round pick and he’d be staggered if Melb was driving this trade talk. He added that Jesse is an exceptional talent.

And then there’s the DL views on why we shouldn’t sell the farm to bring Hoges in.

Clearly this trade talk has divided the forum. So Freo should be looking at how the LN trade is going to unfold. Losing Lachie to bring in Jesse. I’m leaning slightly on keeping the Lachie scenario. Only slightly.

Dees will value Hogan every bit as much as we do Lachie so will be wanting every bit as much as we get for Lachie ... the question is do the club value Lachie as much as Hogan?
Personally I’d keep him and go to the draft with what we have , unless he wants out big time and not just a deserved pay rise

I know there is another thread on Lachie Neale, but the Hogan and Neale deals seem linked.
I missed this article on SEN from 3 weeks ago:
Lachie Roly exit meeting
Can anyone shed light on exactly what Roly was heard yelling in the corridors of FFC?

I reckon there would be few more futile things than yelling at Lachie Neale. He'd nod and then pass you a glass of water.

There are many who think Roly needs a permanent holiday Snooze.

I've just been having a D & M with Melbourne supporter.

He's of the view that losing Hogan wouldn't be a huge loss. I haven't watched him all that closely but according to one bloke at least, he can't kick 50 meters and can't kick straight at anything over 30 meters.

Might be a problem if he's played behind the ball ala Roly style.

Get him if he fits and if that means playing him close to goal then would we change our style to suit him?

It's a question worth considering before we decide how much to pay for him

Oh right. That's why he kicked 47.23 (that's an elite 67%) in 20 games, and 2.14 goals per game (also top echelon). And he's only 23 (2 years younger than Tabs, same age give or take a couple of months as Cam).

If we can ink Hogan for Lachie, the signing pen should just be a blur.

It's harder to get a good forward than a good midfielder.

Zorro, I agree with you.

If we can get him, we should. But then we have to use him to his best value and if the comments are in any way accurate, we use him as a stay at home forward.

Tabs has a good tank and can kick over 50 meters, so he should be at CHF, not Hogan
