Biz, I agree with what you are saying.
The only downside is if we do wait a year and say he kicks 80 goals next year, Dees are top 4 and they make him a large offer to stay - then we lose him.
Why not take him now if he wants to come for one of our first rounders..LN pending leave of course??
Obviously, it may go the other way too, he gets injured and hardly plays and wants a change - Its a tough one..

I guess that's the risk you take Demo. We could very well get him this year and he spends the whole season injured.

Or more likely, looking third rate because RL doesn't have a plan to move the ball forward even with Hogan. Seeing him up on a half back flank and then sprinting back to an absent forwardline we're he's accompanied by 2 to 3 opposition defenders doesn't have me too excited for next year.

Hogan wont be a free agent at the end of next season he will just be out of contract, so we will have to trade for him. May as well try get it done this trade period. If we could give up pick 6 plus a future second rounder for hogan and then get pick 5 for Neale then I would be happy.
