I watched a quarter of the port Adelaide game with him. He rides every contest and doesn't mind a comment or two about the umpires. His emotional investment in our club is the equal of any on this board. And although there may be shortcomings about the process, I think the appointment of someone who genuinely cares about Freo is a great place to start. It will be more than just a job for him.

Umm not quite Hagdorn but as I flipped through the channels to listen to 720 this morning, overheard a casual suggestion on redneck radio that Peter Bell might move into the job. Surely the rumour didn't grow legs from that, Jonno?
Found 720, where Bell was explaining to a caller about Chris Bond leaving and how there are 2 vacancies to fill (fairly obvious), with not a whisper of putting his own name forward.
