Well, in Jezza's absence I'll put the positive side: if the reports are true, we will have turned a pick #58 into 7 years of excellent service and pick #4. That's an excellent outcome, and if you were inclined to think that way, evidence of good drafting and development.
Our backline looks ok for personnel, so I think Blakely would get more game time in the middle, and could probably give us 90% of Neale's output and you'd still get that pick (which could be used to draft a big). If you were looking at the short term, I reckon Geelong might be inclined to part with Kelly for pick 4, which would basically make Neale a straight swap for Kelly. You might even get another late pick thrown in (FWIW I'd keep the pick for sure).
