Farewell games are rubbish. You play the team that fits your objectives - in Freo's case a rebuild. D. Pearce would have to replace someone down back or in the midfield. Switkowski gets the nod. I'm fine with that. Sheridan? He has done as well as Pearce in the WAFL and is younger so he gets another go. Does it mean he is at Freo next season? Not sure. Could be his last chance.
Johnson is in only because Ryan is still out even though Hamling is back. - as an intercept marker.

I remember being extremely excited when danyle came to us as one of the first ever free agency moves in the afl (first ever?)
I have always rated him very highly and admired all those meters that he gained for us.
Seeing today's team selection has left me feeling pretty flat. He deserves a send off and it's a crying shame he isn't getting one. I heard a rumour that he was not thrilled with the way he has been treated this year and thus didn't accept the offer of a send off game.
Today has been a silly day in politics and freo selection
