At the end of next year the pass mark would be that we have passed one more year .

The year after will be one more pass mark , a mark that has been more like a stain .

Then maybe it will be a mark that indicates that Fremantle football club can move into a new and wonderful era .

Is the AFL still talking about the top, middle and bottom six groups being used to guide fixtures for the following year?

Not that the AFL would ever let annoying concepts like competition fairness and integrity get in the way of cash, but I'd hope our 2019 draw might be a little easier.

In my sporting club, I am a life member after 40 plus years of service through the thick and thin. I am a proven stayer.
I feel decidedly guilty/ashamed of myself when, as a Quay Club Member, I have decided not to renew my membership.
The Hawthorn game was the tipping point. For the first time I left early, just after half time, and went and sat in a bus.
My parting comments to my stronger willed mates: "I can't watch this anymore."

Some blokes talk about skill etc. I watched a few of Wellers games for the Sun. You know, the one we got pick 2 for. He’s played 21 games, last few on the wing, and I must admit I’m glad we got Brayshaw. For those who think our rebuild, especially this year, was horrendous, your predictions seem to conflict with our rather pitiful development. Those hidings we’ve had will be a distant memory in 2019, and that’s not an outrageous claim. I’m signing up again, and it’s because quitting is not part of my DNA.

Last year I thought our defence was the poorest I've ever seen. This year I was a bit impressed as something was done in the off season. I predict or rather rate as a pass for 2019 would be the same for the forward line where there is cohesion between forwards and mids which ultimately turns some excitement back into the game.

I don't know what that looks like in wins/losses, but we'll just have to wait and see even if we still only win 8 games but turn those losses into near-wins instead of 50 point spankings. I'd be happy with that.
