West Coast are brave boys who constantly play above themselves.
But really, they had some luck, and they have the umpires wrapped around their little fingers. Also, they don't make knee jerk decisions. If they'd listened to their fans, Rowan Jones would not have been there in 2006. Masten would be long gone.
A lot of us have pencilled in the departure of Sheridan. Some are calling time on Tucker. You have to give players a chance to develop.
There is also a nastiness about West Coast. Do we emulate that? It must be said that most of the "sustained success" teams, WC, Hawks, Sydney, Geelong, have a nasty side.
From a club supporter point of view, I hated it when we did our rebranding and sold our soul - it was like we were West Coast Lite. Obviously the powers that be at Freo thought we couldn't have a soul and win at footy.
