Warwick Capper and Mark Jackson could have got us closer to a win than what these "coaches" did yesterday.

This loss will be blamed on 'youth' and the 'rebuild'.

This is yesterdays team , as named :

Fremantle
B: Taylin Duman, Michael Johnson, Alex Pearce
HB: Ed Langdon, Nathan Wilson, Brady Grey
C: Bradley Hill, Nat Fyfe, Adam Cerra
HF: Shane Kersten, Brennan Cox, Cam McCarthy
FF: Hayden Ballantyne, Matt Taberner, Lachie Neale
Foll: Sean Darcy, Michael Walters, David Mundy
Bench: Ryan Nyhuis, Tommy Sheridan, Stefan Giro, Bailey Banfield

Ok, Cerra, Banfield , Duman and Giro are 'young' and been at an AFL club for nearly a year. The first 2 , do now have 20 games to their name now however....

Nyhuis, Cox and Darcy are also 'young' ...but have been in the AFL system now for 2 years or more...but have struggled to punch out games...ie 13, 25 & 15 respectively.

The rest ain't 'young'. !!

Ones about to retire, 7 of them might be considered 'A-graders' , ( Fyfe, Mundy, Neale, Hill, Wilson, Walters, Ballantyne(once upon a time) ).

The rest are at best 'B -graders' (thats perhaps a bit harsh on A Pearce) but except Brady Grey, not only have they been at an AFL club for several years now, but, most of them have now belted out 45 + games now....and some, into the 70's and 80's

I refute that yesterdays team was 'young'. And certainly not 'more youthful' than other teams trotted out this weekend.

'Other things' explain yesterdays result...not youth.!!

It was terrible - i know 'terrible' is an understatement!
I don't want to go to work tomorrow - (people who do not follow AFL and never talk about it, will be too eager to let me know everything they 'know' is wrong with the Dockers. Can't wait!)
Didn't read the paper this morning.
The whole game did not make sense.
Could be the coach, the players, something dodgy they ate, the terrible weather.....I do not know. It was just so bad it defied explanation.
Just seemed to be one of those days we have all had, where no matter what they did, everything went wrong. Day of disasters. Start again...
We have to hang in there, it can only get better.

OK, I have had a day to sleep on it.
But I feel even worse than when I left Kardinia.

That’s what freo supporters have been doing for 20 plus years.
We are a total basket case and we simply don’t know how to have sustained success.
true supporters care enough to do something.
Yes turn up and support the team , but DONT let incompetence survive.

Bad people are good people who watch and do nothing.

Dont be one of those supporters.

Well...without advocating violence nor any retribution upon players, turn up next week with a bag of rotten tomatoes and a good arm. Point towards the freo coaches box.... and if you cant make the distance, try for the presidents lounge....

How about we throw our tickets over the fence at 3/4 time in protest?

I've held back from commenting until now, But after giving it some time, I've come to the conclusion that the Dockers aren't just going backwards with Ross Lyon. It's much worse than that. Fremantle are the new Carlton.

No I wouldnt call us Carlton, I see more forward line structure and a better game plan at Carlton, unfortunately for us. They will comprehensively beat us same as Melbourne, Brisbane and St Kilda within 2 years if we dont change.

This isnt a once off, out of the blue event. Maybe the scoreline is and the consecutive goal record is but thats just window dressing. This sort of play happened even back in 2015 during our 10 straight wins. Sandi, Pav, Fyfe, McPharlin, Johnno etc papered over the deficiencies only for them to be exposed in finals. This happens every game, sometimes we win despite it, most times we lose because of it.

Heres the strange thing, personel wise we are on track with the rebuild. Probably mid tiered in respect to talent on our list. Roly can get loyalty from his players, we know that. He also has the ability to marshall a rock solid defence, thats also been proven. He only has to change a few things. Read Raglan Matts synopsis earlier about the forwards leading away from the kicker when they should be leading towards. How simple would it be to fix that. But he reigns by terror and the sycophants cant call him out. We need an assistant coach that either can stand up to him or alternatively Roly will listen to. This is not hard to fix.

Bond et al wont sack him, at least not for another year. Its up to the board to bring Roly in now and tell him "look Roly, we are going to support you but we are bringing in another coach and youre going to have to take some critique and modify your game plan".
