Nesbitt has made comments on press conference on ABC News radio.

Interesting questions including the fans reaction and to his earlier comments in regards to the WA amateur football associations and the broken jaw incident,
Avoided all real answers by drawing it to AFL processes
Also interestingly stated that Brayshaw and his brother Hamish had played a game of Golf together recently with the alleged offender.

I have just had my plumber ask me if i followed the Dockers or Eagles, and then proceed to tell me:
i) Gaff meant to hit Brayshaw in the chest
ii) Brayshaw bent at the knees just before Gaff went to hit him in the chest
iii) He wouldn't have meant to hurt the 18 year old kid.
iv) Phil Read was 18 at the time of the Demo Derby*
v) Dale Kickett's acts were far worse

You can't make this crap up.

This morning I was pointing out to my son Exhbits A, B and C ad infinitum of why Eagles supporters know so little about football, while passing taxis with windows down listening to PR- as mindless flogs called in with stories of how the nasty Dockers were trying to get their Saint.

Coming back from my appointment with the plumber, the same taxis had Simon Beaumont acting as apologist-in-chief for the screaming fowl, and the actions of the crowd at the game, which were by any measure deplorable, but in character truth-be-told.

And as a final insult I overhead one trevor nisbett claim that his calls a couple of years ago to deregister an WA Amateur footballer for breaking an opponents jaw was 'totally different' to his charge whom is no doubt at least on the path to canonisation ahead of Sainthood. As flag2005 said, and I thought of at the time, I was expecting signs in the crowd "saluting what Gaff has overcome" during the 3rd quarter.

Phil Read was just a 12 year old up from the country where his parents ran a Numbat rehabilitation hospital. It was his first game of football and he never played again after the shocking, unprovoked beating he was given by Dale Kickett. They never should have let Kickett on the ground with that bat and the three hired goons.

My favourite part of the press conference: someone asked him about his 2015 comments about de-registering players who break jaws behind the play. His (weasel) answer: there is a process in the AFL to deal with this.

Then why aren't you leaving it to that process instead of holding a press conference before the charge has even been laid you slimy hypocrite?

Just when you think they couldn't sink any lower at the eagles, they prove me wrong.

Nisbett, the guy who presided over the drug culture that cost some families very dearly, is now excusing criminal violence and attacking an opposition who, at a time of high emotions,was actually level and restrained in his comments. I didn't think I could hold a lower opinion of Nisbett and now I do. Its hard to condemn that person enough.
