I've hung back on this thread thinking about whether it has been worse. The Drum years obviously come into the conversation. The losses under Drum were far worse but the saving grace was you knew that Drum wasn't going to get away with it for ever and that kids like Black, Pav, Longmuir and Hasleby could play. So as bad as it was there was the future without Drum and great emerging players visible.
That's all not visible to me at present. I can see this going on for two more years after 2018 and I don't want to be fickle but I can't see it in: Crowden, Duman, Cox and McCarthy. And Lyon is going nowhere and he won't change.
It's the worst cause there is nothing but this to look forward to.
