Gray flicked his feet trying to kick the footy after he dropped it and before Nuyhus brought him to the ground, had Gray not done that there would have been no problems with the tackle. The time and motion experts should be able to provide the evidence to clear him.

Polly, he should get 2 weeks, Gray was able to return to the bench.

Drubbing, McCarthy got weeks because it was a bad tackle and the bloke he tackled had got rid of the ball - and by some margin.

Nyhuis’ tackle looks worse on the replay because the ball drops out before he appears to slightly lift Grey over the line. In real time there didn’t look too much wrong with it.

Had the umpire blown the whistle when Gray dropped the ball Niyhous probably wouldn’t have continued the tackle. The umpire should be dropped for not paying the free sooner. Instead he gave Gray more time to dispose of the ball and our man had no other option but to continue with his action.
However, being a Freo player he’ll go for sure.

Gray gathered a loose ball on the half-forward flank and attempted to evade Nyhuis, who wrapped up his opponent and slung him head-first into the ground.

He hit the ground with his shoulder, and his late attempt to kick the footy after dropping it led to his being in that position anyway. What is the AFL's position on umpires changing a decision after watching the big screen? They pay a dropping the ball against Gray when the tackle was laid.

Also, will Westhoff come under scrutiny for kicking and laying a choke hold on Nyhuis when he came in to remonstrate?

Will the player who hit Walters in the head in the middle of the ground have a case to answer ?
