TOPIC: Carlton v Fremantle

Raglan Matt
Sheridan is the puzzle, he and Matera made mistakes whenever they were under pressure, and will be the first out of the side as Hill, Walters and co come back in.

Clearly the boys were tired and that showed in there kicks which they were jailing in the first half

Again, it is symptomatic of 2015, an unsustainable game plan. It has nothing to do with long breaks and short breaks, and we will see the same thing happen after our bye. We have to get back to an economic game plan, or spend the training sessions working on skills not laps. or preferably both.

In my opinion, you have only so many km's in you each week, and if you spend 90% of them in a game,(as we do), you can't overdo your workload during the week. If we continue to play this way, this year and next will be a repeat of 2015. Who was the minor premier in 2016. (without consulting Mr Google)?

Loved the win. I'm back on the bandwagon. That constant imbalance of free kicks is still a concern. Not so much when we win.

If the players aren’t up to the “game plan” because it’s to taxing they aren’t up to afl footy. Watch any other game for the past 5 years

RM, you’re seriously out of tune with today’s footy or you’re just a dinosaur. Perhaps you just play tapes of games in the 80s. How to do think that most players average 15Kms per game. It’s not by staying in the goal square. Please get a tune up.

Jezza, the forwards average 15 kms' a game just like they did in the 80's, by staying forward and continuously offering leads and making space for other forwards. Cox covered 15 km's last week and did not move out of the forward line much. What is destroying our players is that they are required by the game plan to cover that 15 km's at full speed all the time. They have no recovery time, and you can see it when they are taking shots on goal.

Hypen, we were 12 up at half time, should have won by 18 - 20 goals. Carlton were a rabble, and we let them back in.

I've been to Raglan, Matt. Nice place. You're getting a bit feisty mate. Good to see. A bit of passion.

Watching it again. Enjoying it again. It hasn’t been a great season so far and I was pretty down a few weeks ago. I know things aren’t perfect yet, but it’s good to feel impressed with my team rather than despondent for once. It’s coming together and I see light, not darkness.

Get some perspective. It was Carlton. And they were about as bad as a football team could be.

I got some perspective last week. We beat crows without Fyfe and Sandi. But you’re right, the Crows are a rebel as well. Don’t know how some on here get some perspective.

RM whilst it would have been nice to win by the margin you suggested, can you even recall the last team in the bottom 8 playing another bottom 8 team to win by such a margin? It very rarely happens if at all. It would have been impossible to keep Carlton to just a couple of goals for a game. Even at our most poor this season, Richmond let us score 33 points whilst they kicked a measly 15 goals. Those 100 floggings very rarely happen any more, they are a thing of the past.

Mentally it would have been hard to sustain such an effort for 4 quarters with the team knowing they have a bye coming up and not wanting to get injured unnecessarily and missing out on playing a very winnable game against Brisbane. Lets just celebrate the fact, like Hypen said, we won an away game by 10 goals, even if it was only Carlton.

Great win for a change, I thought Ballas was a bit hard done by, he couldn't buy a free kick today, he got leveled a couple of times and got caught around the neck once.

I wish the umps would be a bit fairer .
