I love the statement the club have now released. It's just a shame it's a day or two late. If they had said that first up, the debate would be different. I think the media and Hase and everyone else is up in arms because it initially sounded like we wanted the medal gone altogether. Now it transpires we merely wanted a fairer, better name - something most on here have been asking for for years.
The WA media don't need much of an excuse to froth at the mouth over a perceived injustice against their beloved WCE so why couldn't we have released this media statement at the very beginning, openly and honestly, and shown that it's actually the slime stopping it from happening because they're insisting on keeping the medal named as they want.
