What absolute nonsense. It is not a regular home and away round. It is far more significant than that. You yourself have voiced that opinion previously.

You obviously have a short memory, because I still remember the arrogant smugness of the slime supporters as they racked up the wins in the early years. Smashing the Toast in a derby remains one of the highlights of any season for me.

We should really let the umpy's decide the Trophy, we could make sure that Margetts is always the lead umpire on the day and it would save the sponsors from engraving every year. It could be called the Eagles Derby Cup.
As for the medal it could be known as the Polly Farmer medal and only ever be decided by the coach of the winning side, in that way it would always go to an Eagle. You have to remember that egurls supporters need that stuff, whilst us Dockers are built of sterner stuff. Except for when we gag attempting to drink chardonnay

I wasn't suggesting you'd ever supported a medal. But my point was - there's a lot more at stake in this town than just the four points, right?

Because you said there wasn't and it was just another game.

Which it clearly isn't.

But I take your point that even though it is an incredibly important game where the result is a big deal, we don't need to award a medal to the player who has most likely been instrumental in securing the victory for his side and half of the Perth football watching public .

I mean, why would you do that?

Glendinning was with Fremantle 2000 ( 8 wins ) and 2001 ( 2 wins )only won ONE home game being the last game, what a great year Ross. West Coast talking about tradition is a joke, it's all about them being the bully big brother club.
