Liking the look of these young fellas playing their 1st or 2nd game. Wow.

Tabs 4 goals + 10 hitouts as ruck relief. Great game.

Great work by Pearce keeping Daniher goalless.

I was wrong about Blakely not playing in the midfield . He was excellent off Half Back.

No passengers which was pleasing.

A great win and I think the best Fremantle have played for a couple of seasons. That was the team we saw in the preseason, now just have to back it up next week. Well done to the debutants.

Having the rookies play in a win in front of 50 000 is a fine thing. All of them played well. Cerra's a jet. Brayshaw got caught out a couple of times, I think and the chemistry between Matera and Ballas didn't work. Matera's trying to do it all himself up there, he needs to calm down and look for a team option at times

I guess it's something that'll come with games together but a lot of that looked messy and scrambling and they still won well against a good team. That's a good sign.

Guy, I think Matera will be handy for when Ballas is injured or needs a rest. I thought Langdon kicked a couple of goals at crucial times and showed great composure. Hamling was very good and did not look like he lacked match fitness, maybe Ross has a thing about weddings in the footy season.

B Hill looked better when he had teammates presenting forward of him, AND leading at him. When he couldn't just grab it and go forward he stuffed up, but think the blame for that does not lie with him. While Johnno went ok, I think he is on borrowed time.

Matera on his right is like brad hill on his left.. or kicking short on his right.. its not great..

But when matera gets to wheel around onto his left its a different story.

Their chemistry will continue to improve, the one big one was ballas getting in the way of matera's lead.. but hey how many times did tabs do that to pav..

They were caught out when b hill delivered a shocker into the forward 50. The tried to make the best of a shocking kick and even worse bounce..

Crowden got found out early with the pace but he adapted, layed some tackles. What impressed me was a 175cm first gamer taking a mark 50 out and off 2 steps spearing a shot a goal into the fence, just missed to the left but he has a serious kick on him.

Cerra had a great first game. Brayshaw has the composure of a 150+ gamer, Banfield will be the new crowley.

Nah yeah, maybe not tonight, Mr Smiley. But I would never had thought two very small forwards would work for us. I was wrong. And I reckon it will pay off more and more as the season progresses. I like what I saw.

And Strewth! How long has it taken us to hit up a player with a short pass. It seems so simple and so far away from our recent form.

I liked so much what I saw tonight.
