Its going to another long season.

Clearly we've learned nothing since last year so we are maintaining our consistency. Don't go double or nothing on the house next week, Jezza, its going to be ugly.

How far away is 2020 again?

79 more disposal will always kill you. They won every stat except for hit outs (and interchanges!!)

And 3 marks inside 50 is like groundhog day.

We cant afford to throw more money away maybe Ross could stay on as the tackling coach, he could learn on the job

Yeah, Cam Mac did ok. Johnno improved as the game went on, but I still think the writing is on the wall, at least for a gig every week.
I'd bring Hamling and Hughes back in. D Pearce and Johnno out. Or maybe Sutcliffe out, not sure. If we don't start winning, then we find a spot for Logue as well. And maybe bring in Brady Grey for Ballas when he's fit.

Hard to blame the forwards for a lack of marks inside 50 with the delivery they got today.

Down on down
Take Blakely off the half back line and put him in the midfield. Drop D Pearce and replace him with Ethan Hughes. Bring Hamling back at the expense of Kersten. Sutcliffe to be dropped also and can be replaced by almost anyone..

See coaching isn't that tough a gig. Tell Freo Im available to take over from Ross when they are ready. I don't play favourites.

If we had a coach we could change things when things are going bad , but true to form nothing !

The worrying thing is that besides Hill and Hamling we were at full strength.

Look at the stats. The Dockers were monstered in everything except hit outs which are the least useful. The result had little to do with coaching , turnovers or missed marks and everything to do with players who were simply beaten for the ball.

What happened to front and centre? What happened to poise and delivery going forward. What happened to moving it quickly back through the spine? What happened to our more experienced players and their disposal? Someone here had said that we would find out about a couple of players early on like we did last year...and go to youth. So, I reckon the time has come for the obvious three. Pearce, anyone on the list can replace at this stage. Johnno....you cannot tell me Hamiling would not have more upside. Sutcliffe, Hughes surely? Same old same old...

Did anyone wonder why there seemed to be a half dozen Port players free in space all the time? Or how it was that Port could zig-zag across and down the corridor at will? If you think slamming Sutcliffe is the fix you've river pebbles for a brain - we were out coached and no one new how to counter Port's positioning.

High, slow balls around the boundary to contests, or directly to the opposition.

It’s revolutionary thinking for 2019 footy.

Surely it will work by then.

Polly, to blame the coach after dishing up the same stuff as we have for the last two seasons. with continued poor disposal, continued turnovers, continued lack of forward structure and system is....is....is probably a very fair summation actually.

But let's keep using that rebuild reboot restump excuse.
