I am surprised that Hamling is not in the team and would have played him before Johnson. I thought Johnson was actually quite good in final JLT game, was ver6 one sided though so maybe not a great gauge.
Much as it pains me to say D Pearce and Sutcliffe were also OK in this hitout. Doubt Pearce plays if Hill was available, Pearce still offers pace and ability to run all day. I don’t think it does any harm giving Sutcliffe a run further up the field, I think this has been suggested before on this forum, gives some flexibility if someone gets away down back.
Besides Hamling and Hill player that I am very keen on is Logue, unlike others on here I am excited by his potential and think will be great I want to see games in him. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Duman emerge this year.
I hope Brad Hill can tighten up his game and eliminate errors and Walters is at his sublime best. McCarthy needs to get some timing and feel for the game, play like a footballer I personally preffered Kersten last year.
Having not been privy to preparation and touch of each player I am happy to back this team in.
