How about putting a few bucks in Pav’s pocket for his insight on the opposition gleaned from his commentary roles?

there must be plenty of half-intelligent recruiting blokes over east who would know more and be cheaper than a golden haircut who spazzed off to France because he stuffed up big time. Shirley...

Ok, so we now need an opposition analyst. That explains a lot of things - I take it that we"'ve been looking to get one for a couple of years now.

Bond probably read the same article I did on opposition analysts that was the AwFL website a couple of weeks ago about the Hawks guy who was supposed to be carrying out a ground inspection prior to the 2008 GF then slinked off into the stands and watch the entire Cats training session and noticed all their drills were through the centre corridor.
He then thinks we should get one of those and approaches arguably the highest profile (for all the wrong reasons) man in the land because clearly opposition teams are NOT going to notice Hirdy?

Top, top men

It's genius.

Hey! Is that James Hird over there watching us?

Nah, don't be stupid. Why would James Hird be wearing a Fremantle jacket.

Or

"Is that's James Hird over there spying on us"

"What the hell, why didn't you tell me the Freo hoody and sunglasses package is on special"

The AFL have long shown an interest in looking after favourite son Hird. Given his demise, I can imagine that the boys at AFL house have been looking for a way of bringing him back into the fold. In theory, all they needed was a club that comes to them asking for a favour and James could be thrown into the negotiations ... maybe a club that has messed up with its budget and needs an advance from the AFL because of cash flow concerns ...

I would have thought has more to do with a Lloyd being in charge of the Fremantle office in Melbourne and the football industry being entirely based on nepotism.

I reckon the offer of an annual junket to Harvard would clinch the deal to sign Hird.

I reckon we should get the Wiz in as a WA based analyst to explain to the coaching staff exactly why we shouldn't play Sheridan, Sutcliffe and D. Pearce in the same team. If he says it repeatedly, well, they might listen. He might even mention that pressure in the F-50 is good, but the team still needs to kick goals. "Remember when Medders and I had that competitive thing happening..."

And we still lost as many games back then and other then enjoying the Wiz and Medders show, we achieved nothing. As it stands, this list led by a Brownlow medalist will be the best the FFC ever assembled. The icing will be when HB decides to come good. And while the masses are condemning the possibility of Hirdy saddling up, the blokes wearing the purple jumper on game day are who I’ll be yelling for. All the other emotions are just wasted emotions.

This is where we would benefit from good Hird immunity.

Although the club may be thinking more in terms of Hird impunity.
