Stephenson is the most exciting player with the greatest upside. While he should last to 5 I wouldn't risk it. Take him at 2 as any of the others will do at 5.

Understandably all the discussion is around our Rd. 1 picks with 2 and 5.
Our next isn't till Rd. 3 with pick 42, followed by three in Rd. 4 with picks 60, 66 and 70.

He has us getting LDU at 2, and Brayshaw at 5. I could live with that.

Fogarty gone at 4.
Stephenson MASSIVE slider —has him listed at 17 but reckons could go lower based on uncertainties over his heart condition.

As an aside if you take Andrew Brayshaw at 5 do you use a late late pick on his bro Hamish who is listed as a draft Smokey and is a big unit for a midfielder and polled well in VFL B&F? Described as an extractor.

I'm getting the feeling that Andrew Brayshaw is in the Dockers crosshairs. Why? Because, other than his undoubted talent ( hearsay), he's got family living in Perth and perhaps the key to getting Hogan, yes that man again. After 2 years, there'll be a seed planted whereby the attraction to play with older sibling Angus at Melbourne becomes an attractive option. Then it's a case of a trade swap for Hogan to come home. Someone convince me that this is an unlikely scenario.

It’s a very unlikely scenario jezza but I doubt anyone could convince you otherwise.

I would be very disappointed if we take Brayshaw. He seems to have jumped up a heap of spots on the strength of his yo-yo test (whatever that is) and supposed leadership qualities. I am hoping that we target players on their ability to play footy.

Clayton Oliver was a big bolter, I think hes done alright so far for melbourne, so clearly someone did well there when he was considered outside the top 10 for ages.


If by chance stephenson was around in the 40s, as in Harley Balic level slider, I would take a risk on him no questions asked with pick 40ish.
