Anybody have their priority period today? Would be interested to hear how you went. Ours is tomorrow, but after looking at the Portal there doesn't seem to be many better options opening up. Getting anxious!

I gave up on the site and went analogue. Called the club, put phone on speaker while I waited (20 minutes). Helpful chap moved my buddy and I to some cheaper seats, but still good ones, which is what I was after. Looking forward to 2018.

Sounds like the phone call is the way to go. Hopeful I have the same positivity tomorrow!

I am a Day 1 Quay Club Member so my reallocation window opened Wednesday morning of last week. The seats we had been allocated by the Club were located close to the 50m arc, whereas our seats at Subi were on the wing right underneath the commentary boxes.
At 11am on Wednesday I phoned Membership Services and a nice young lady helped me to locate some seats that suited us better, however we were still a long way short of the wing. I was advised that I could only change my seats once myself online, after that if I wanted to check to see if any better located seats had become available, then I would have to phone or call into the Club. I noted that from that point on I was unable to see what seats were still available as that option had been disabled.
I decided yesterday that I would drive to the Club this morning. I had to wait with around half a dozen people who were there about seat allocations. It took about 20 minutes before it was my turn to be attended to. I was organised and had 7 other seating options I wanted the staff member to check for me. After going through my first 4 options I was beginning to worry, however we had success with option 5. We now have three CAT 3 seats in Row 1 of Section 546. The young bloke that assisted me was really helpful. I know it is not possible for everyone to get to the Club but my advice would be that if you can manage it, it might be to your advantage.

Not a happy camper here. We had 4 great seats in block 134 just outside 50 metre arc at Subi which have been replaced with seats in block 307 behind the point post. Our old seats, same location, have all gone except single seats so tried to locate 4 seats a little bit further round from goals with similar price and found 5 seats in block 303 which would have satisfied the group however when trying to secure 4 seats I'm told that I can't have 4 seats there because it will leave a single seat. This breaches the club's offer that we could exchange seats and now I'm stuck with seats NOT similar to my existing seats and the club is refusing to allow a swap of seats. Nowhere in their correspondence does it say that I have to leave more than 1 adjoining seat. False advertising. Not happy.

Good to hear that people are getting things sorted! We currently have seats in 546, but back in row 12. We have a group of 7 and want to move closer towards the front of Cat 3 and get an aisle.

Gumnut go to club and politely demand those seats and they shall be yours.

Sorry Stoney, no such luck. After politely explaining that relinquishing my 4 seats would free up a single seat to make a 5 seat block I was politely told that I could not have the 4 seats in Block 303. I was instead offered 4 seats in Block 304 which, whilst marginally better by about half a block than my allocated seats, were still not as good as those in Block 303. Reluctantly I took up these seats but I feel that the club is profiting big time from this exercise which is not necessarily giving us equivalent quality viewing and in a lot of cases higher costs. I know that it's not an easy task for the membership team but I thought that my request was quite reasonable and should have been accommodated.

Or take the extra seat. When time comes to pay, say, oh sorry we don’t need that one anymore

My priority period commenced at noon today. 2 hours prior to that I was rung at work by someone from the Freo membership department replying to an email I had sent a week ago. It was very timely as he picked out two very acceptable seats for me and changed my original tickets over to them and said that I could change them at any time during the priority period. So everything was settled before my priority period even opened.
I asked him what happens to the tickets of those people who no longer want to be members. He said he wasn't 100% sure but believed that at the end of the priority period there would still be an option for existing members to move into seats vacated by those not renewing their memberships.

Well, the bomber death planes riding shotgun in the sky have turned into butterflies above the Zorro nation.

Taking the advice of IMHO (whoever and wherever you are, I owe you a number of drinks - seriously) I was at the club at 4pm this afternoon (the only punter there!!) and, lo and behold, there was Cale, brimful of brains and helpfulness, guiding me to a computer and magically finding the exact equivalent location - well, actually slightly better – than we had at Subi and feared we had lost forever.

Locked in, deposit paid, confirmed, done and dusted.

So accept no digital substitutes. Get down to the club, connect with Cale or one of his mates at reception, and if there is help to be had, they'll do it for you!

Has anyone else got seats in Row 6 in Sections 122-117---in fact only 2 rows from front behind what appears to be a 1 metre high fence ? Nobody seems to know how high it is. For $799, I don't want to look through bars. Does anyone know if in fact there is or isn't such an obstruction ?

Sounds like the first 3 rows are reserved for eagles supporters and ex players, will make them feel right at home.

Asked magic Cale the same question, windus. The fence (he assures me) is exaggerated in the graphic and will only affect the front row (which is row 5 I think), so they've knocked 100 bucks off for the inconvenience. Your row windus, and ours (row 8), won't be affected.
