With all the talk about a "super draft" next year is it worth winning 10-12 games and possibly making the eight?
I'm thinking if we could pull a few more early picks we're on our way to building a strong team.

Think 2012 except there's no Harvey. Lyon comes in, takes control over a youthful side on a rebuild, introduces Rolyball, make the finals in his first year. This time armed with Pick 2 & 5, plays the GF in 2019 wins the damn thing. Picks 2 & 5 becomes superstars overnight and goes on to help us win back to back flags. Superdrafts are irrelevant.

Super draft is super speculative. Whether a draft is outstanding can only be judged about 6 to 8 years after the fact when most players are peaking or meant to be. To call a future draft a superduper one is fantasy at best. So, we play every game to win, play every game like it's your last and try to get better every game. This will super please me.

I was expecting to finish outside the 8 this year. I'm not saying we should tank. Maybe I'm still thinking we're half way through this rebuild. But another couple low picks would be nice. So if we don't make the 8 next year have we underachieved? So the rebuild is over and we should be top 8 next year and contending?
