Yeah couldnt believe Hackdorn was trying to sabotage us already. Why would we take Naughton at 5, ANOTHER defender when Cox cant even get a game down back at the moment.
I`ve had a chance now to look at all the footage and I`d say Cal Twomey has basically got the order the same way I would have judged it. I think Rayner looks like a Dustin Martin type, clearly has the best kick both left and right, can play right away to effectively take Wellers spot in the team and is a must if he is still there at two.
If hes gone, we go for the Uniacke kid who reminds me more of Haselby. Except the Haze was a child prodigy.
Pick 5 is harder. Brander is not yet a good kick, looks to have kicked 3 goals as his best game and isnt yet a settled forward. I think we probably should go for him if hes still there but it would be more of a punt. In his favour is how young he is, his kicking should get stronger with time. Hopefully he has more upside even than Cox.
Its a shame the Slime will get all the WA talent as we dont get back in until pick 42 and they would have had 5 picks by then. Say goodbye to Kelly, Ryan, Naughton and Oscar Allen. Cant be helped.
