Not really Weller’s call as to what’s a ‘fair trade’ for him.

As others have said, he’d be taken in the top 5 if he were available in the draft as he not only has ‘potential’ but has proven he can mix it with the best at the elite level.

Unless it’s a straight swap for Martin & Matera - pick 2 it is.

Interesting he mentioned meeting with Captain Lynch - who is more than likely to bail next year himself.

Yeah Martin would be priority and pick 2 the next. I think if we end up with pick 2 we should trade pick 5 to Tigers for 17 & 18. Take best available mid at 2 then have a crack at Noughton and Allen late in the first round.

Wow, Interesting interview on Trade Radio. I agree, Pick 2 or stay put for 12mths. To whoever the Freo Member caller was 20mins ago, I agree with everything you said. I strongly believe our 'Recruiting Dept.' should be working a hell of alot harder to get KPP.......and I do not believe your comments were harsh towards the recruiting dept. at all. At the end of the day it is a business and should be performance based !!

Martin was 3rd in the Sun's B&F this year. Freo's recruiting team have changed since the days of Croad et al. Since 2008, I thought that Lloyd and team did a great job and continue to get us some quality through the door. Plenty of names have been linked to us in relation to KPP. Drafting them is another story. But if after this current down time we don't strike again, then you'd have a good case. But I say bring Martin home and as Polly pointed out, that is the missing puzzle to Hogan, perhaps.

I remember Martin from the game at Subi against GC at the start of 2016. He was very classy. Totally outpointed Spurr in a couple of marking contests. If we can get him, that would make a good deal.

Just listened to the Lachie Weller interview on Trade Radio.

If we cannot get pick 2, I would be very happy for there to be no deal and for Weller to be at Peel reserves for the next 22 games.

Saints - Give Picks 7 & 8 to Suns

Freo - Get Pick 7 (or 8) from the Suns.

Didn't mention this option. Or Jack Martin and Pick 21. Interesting.
