20% is way too much for a 14th placed team one year into a 4 year rebuild. The tax payers of this state paid for the new stadium and cricket and concert promoters will share the place with footy fans (probably those rugged animals as well). 20% to me would be justified by having a roof on the place, -5% more indicative of coping with RoLy's game plan, a shonky walk bridge, transport chaos and weak beer.

You can experience the place watching a game with our AFLW side getting pummeled for free - if you need some extra time buy a walkup during the season.

Cost of membership of the two AFL Western Australian teams are a joke.
As you heard every minute in Grand Final week Richmond's membership of 72,000 as so much cheaper packages.( Hawthorn is another myth as they have membership for garden gnomes )
Richmond are lucky to get 40,000 to home games at a hundred thousand seater and we will be lucky to get over 40,000 at a 60,000 seater in coming years.
I will be renewing for next year but I can see me going to games and pay at the door in future years.
Winter night games, late Sunday games and Thursday and Monday games are something which are made for home viewing.

Ive chucked mine in after 15 years. Actually my group had 7 seats and no one is renewing. For a couple of reasons
1. Try and get walk up. Might be difficult for the first few rounds but the shine will wear off.
2. Going to the football in 2017 was horrific. The style of play was boring. Worst season in the history of the club as far as entertainment value goes.
3. Price is out of control
4. Im not going to any games involving Gold Coast or Brisbane.
5. Still can't get over paying top dollar for home finals and the ridiculous process of getting a GF ticket as a paid up long term member. No advantage at the pointy end of the season being a member.

Traffic constraints at the new stadium will probably preclude games on a school night Mac, so you should be fine. 90% of Freo home games tend to fall on either the Saturday 5.40pm slot (the best) and Sunday 2.40pm slot (also fine), and I don't think that will change.
