Tippett!?! Dont really know why we would want him. There was a trade in the NFL recently where the Cleveland Browns got given a 2nd round pick by Houston just to take Flop QB Brock Osweiller and his bloated $16m salary off of their books. Im not saying swans would pay us to take tippett and his contract but surely we could at least get him for nothing if we have room to absorb his contract for a year.

Now your outlandish statement about Tippett, a 31 yr. old washed up player who hasn't strung 22 games in a season since Noah was a boy. Tear the rebuilding blueprint if Tippett is heading here and Lyon's contract while you're at it.

If we go to the draft with both pick 5 and securing a second rounder, while picking up Wilson and Matera, it's Christmas time.

Just to bring a comparison (albeit at a lower level) but Wet Toasts Kennedy was not a popular or successful trade initially, but once he hit his straps - well it could be argued he’s one of the best FFs in the comp now.

Tabs has taken some time to cement a spot and be a consistent contributor. But at 24 he should be hitting his prime. I’m glad he’s re-signed and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the club do some pick trading if their targeted player (a bit like Logue last year) is expected to be available a bit lower down the draft order.

Based on last year’s trading and draft period I’m backing the club in to get it right again.
