anyway there is so much much wrong with you thinking J Stringer would be good for us that is basically common knowledge.
Apart from 2 young kids (despite his actions) during pregnancy may keep him in melb..
Also, The last bloke that owed that much on Gambling Debts onto the 6 figures won the long kick today and his current team mates cant stand him.

Player. Also, when he spoke at function he was toeing the party line about himself and Hogan....contracted player, not going anywhere blah blah.... but as we were walking out he appoached us and was quite chatty. He said there was not a lot of love for himself atm and was probably moving on.

They'll want this years pick, with hogan, Bennell and Walters in our forward line we'll be playing finals next year and our pick won't be worth enough. Also they need pick 5 to land Lever.

On a side note, both Balic & Hogan are managed by Stride so should be an easy transaction

It's painfully obvious that we need a key forward and someone in the back half who can start a transition forward by hitting a target. The fact we've spent half of this year discussing Tabs, who is objectively something like our 25th best player, goes to show you how desperate we are for a key forward to stand up.

ROTV - no-one wants to get rid of Weller. He looks like he can play and of course we could use more players like him. But you need to trade quality to get quality, and Weller is one of the few tradable commodities we have. I'm not sure how much he likes living in WA, but he's not from here, and has a brother playing elsewhere, so he's a greater flight risk than most on our list. If trading him now fills an area of need, why wouldn't you pull the trigger now?

After watching the GF yesterday and the bulldogs last year I think teams can easily win it without a gun tall forward. You certainly need a presence up there, but I am more worried about our midfield and defence. Neale and Fyfe are guns but Mundy is getting on now and we need a third inside mid, Blakey could be that player but is a bit young. Richmond won through extreme pressure and a fast rebounding backline. This is RTB game plan to a tee. I think we should be looking to trade in another quality big bodied mid. Our stalls in the forward line are good and if we get Wilson then I think our backline is pretty good.

For the life of me I can't recall any media reports, other than maybe one, that links the Hogan trade with Weller.

Balic, yes, but he's on the way out anyway.

Lachie had the chance to return home last year and join brother Mav at St Kilda, but signed a 2 year deal to stay with us. By all reports, he's more than happy here and hasn't missed a game in 2 years. Clearly the club has big plans for him and he seems to be buying in. It's not like we've had trouble keeping interstate players.

For every Balic & Roberton we've had a Mundy & Pav. Plus we've got the best facilities in the comp and about to move into arguable the best sports stadium in the Southern Hemisphere that also replicates closely the stadium we ultimately have to win on - the MCG.

Seriously, despite many on here thinking we're a rabble with a dud coach and/or game plan, we're doing very well in retaining and attracting quality talent.

I think all our mids should increase their max bench press by 10-20kg in the preseason and master the "don't-argue" aka Dustin Martin and then we'll be in with a chance for our forwards to see more of the ball in 2018.
