Leading into this season Cotchin lived with the accusation that he was not hard enough at the footy and neededto lead by example. He's taken that on board and, in my view, gone too far the other way and often attacks the footy in a reckless manner as if to prove that he is, in fact, a tough and hard footy player.
The physical side of the game is, indeed, a thing of beauty but there is a fine line between being hard at the ball and recklessly KOing blokes and Cotchin got it wrong and so did the MRP.
