Haven't read all previois but as a south supporter and footy lover I find it ridiculously petty that people are booing or venting at Peel players! What did they have to do wiyh alignment. On the field are 44 young men who love playing footy and have no say about who, why or how. Exyremely disrespectful and peurile to take it out on the players.

There is no benefit at all in Fremantle players continuing on for the wafl finals. Maybe for the odd 18 year old but that's about it, and how many of them are currently out there? As Shane said they would be better off doing pre season 4 weeks earlier and taking holidays with the rest of the squad. In fact, I would be surprised if the club has even bothered to sit down and review if the whole alignment set up works better than the previous set up.
I am used to Trevor Nisbett trying to kill the wafl but Freo has taken it to the next level. It's only contained at the moment because it's hurting Subi and everyone is sick of Subi winning everything.

All the WAFL clubs agreed to the setup. They can't complain about it afterwards.

No football club has ever not selected players because they were trying to be nice to the competition or the opposing team. If players are available, pick them.

Snoop.Dont think that's correct.The Wafl clubs voted it down 7-2.At meeting 1.
Meeting 2 there was no vote.The Wafc said the Wafl clubs will recieve an extra 100k on top of the 400k they already recieved.
But the only side to make an official complaint this year was West Perth.

I am by no means an expert in this field but surely it would not be too hard to reduce the number of players eligible to play. 15 lining seems over the top even if this figure was reduced to 10, this would allow Freo the ability to develop players they deemed needed it and balance out fairness more.

the deal was setup under one set of rules. Due to complaints, the rules were tightened for this year. Now people are saying its unfair and wanting further restrictions. If Peel goes well again, people will want the rules tightened again but there is no loosening of the rules for Peel's squad size.

The only way people are going to be happy is restricting Peel's ability to play Freo squad players in finals and too bad about Peel not being allowed to select from a whole squad.

The alignment deal is a crock. Its always been a crock and this result was predicted but the alignment deal was accepted and people should now suck it up and enjoy the results. When the deal expires, get rid of it but don't sign up a club and then cripple them at finals time

So Peel are only allowed to play 5 Freo players in finals, but they cop an inordinate amount of injuries at the end of the season, to their WAFL players. While Subi, Souths and Swans are allowed to pick from a full squad, Peel have to front up with 17 players, because 15 of their Freo affiliated players are ineligible to play thanks to a big heap of whinging on Dockerland getting the rules changed.
