Happy for us to switch the ball across the ground, but it'd be great if we could do it faster. When we're off, each player appears to stop, do the maths on where the ball should go next, count that out as too risky, remember to update calculations, then either kick it sideways to a stationary player now under pressure, or give up and bang it up the line to a pack.
The crowd now delights in seeing 3-4-5-SIX! consecutive possessions at speed that move the ball forward.
When we accept risk and move the ball quickly to running players, it looks good. It doesn't always work, bit practice is surely a good thing. This is time to practice.
