That's the outcome of the 2014 draft. At that stage, we were challenging for a premiership, 2015 won the minor premiership and lost to Hawks in the preliminary with Fyfe playing with a busted leg.
Picking up Blakely and Weller, both have had great starts to their career. If McGovern wants to come home and picks Freo as his club of choice, then FFC should try and get him. I don't think the club should target him as a required player and pay him overs. No way should we part with our first round. We need to use it for Aaron Noughton ( who's excelling at Peel playing in the CHB position. McGovern is not worth a first round pick. Adelaide's predicament is that they're either going to lose Lever or McGovern, and Lever is the first rounder worth giving up for, and he's off to Carlton with Gibbs going the other way.
