I'm trying to step away from the futility of endlessly moaning and complaining about incompetent umpires or one-eyed MRP decisions, but this nonsense has got me fired up again. How can this be the only incident worthy of consideration from a game in which any number of Freo players - but especially Walters - were dealt with brutally by opposition players? I know, I can see for myself, that Freo players can dish it out too, but I wonder if the MRP consciously considers that the umpires haven't paid the free kicks in the first place, so maybe they shouldn't look too closely, otherwise it could be seen by some as implied criticism of umpiring performance? Or am I seeing conspiracy where the explanation is really nothing more that amateurism?
