Rhufus, there will be a time when my optimism will waned. To answer your question, Clarko would not have made a difference had he taken charge of our team last year. When he got appointed at the Hawks in 2004-05, that draft saw Franklin, Roughead with Hodge and Mitchell already bedded down. They were a bottom four side until they won the cup in 2008. They had a flat spot in 09, before consistently making finals which culminated in their 3 peat. In comparison, before 2012, we've made 2 finals maybe 3. We peaked without winning with a list not many coaches could have done much more. Last year we got Logue at pick 7, Darcy at 34. Both showing their talent. We are 12-18 months into a rebuild. There's no magic wand. It's growth and development and that goes to our coaching staff who last year had at least 5 new faces on the books. It's a collective build not just coaching structures. We don't have a Franklin, Kennedy, Dixon or Lynch. We will in Cammac and Kersten who are still babes in the woods. Don't be disillusioned.
