A summary;

Really happy with the effort, said its not about birth certificates. Then proceeded to compare games played between our backs and their forwards.

Very happy with Kersten. Doesn't think Taberner has had great games last two weeks. Happy with Logue, Blakely, Ryan and Tucker.

Said our rucks are just kids. Thats your choice Lyon!

In summary very positive just lack polish, smarts and connection with forwards. And experience.

Saved his best when he spoke about Bennell.

We're under no illusions, it's about the journey, you get reward for effort, We'll look at the things that need looking at.

Sounds like a typically flippant RoLy press conferance then...

Almost a waste of time watching.

Now...I hope there was no implication about the quality of work by our "big kid" in the ruck today. Thought he was very serviceable (again) and did some beaut things with the ball in tight. No standout...but very serviceable, and another step on the learning curve against some experienced campaigners. 32 HO, 11 disposals, a few tackles a coupla marks. Broke even with Vardy, I thought...who took no marks btw....

Here's what I would have liked him to say;

We need to think about how hard we are working to score our goals. I thought our opponents showed us how simple the game can be if you get organised down there.

We were poor on transition, we let them out way too easy. Its about pressuring the ball carrier and being nimble on set up when you dont have the ball.

We could have probably played some of our better players forward at times today, we were winnning clearances and maybe could have sacrificed at bit there for some potency up forward.

Gee I think I got into their heads a bit too much about kicking into the forward line. We didnt want to bomb it in but we overplayed that and really over used the ball. We overcompensated, we do that at Freo.

I want to see my players attempt the first option and try and make that tough kick, thats how you create opportunity. I wont get down their throats if it doesnt come off...

You know stuff like that.

He's a coach that taken teams to three Grand Finals and lose by a Draw, a bounce over the head of the smallest guy on the ground and a team in 2013 that legs went to jelly in front of goals. SO CLOSE like today. We played great until we went forward into our 50m Bermuda Triangle.

The lack of lip sync makes it look like an old Jackie Chan movie.
