I like Connor a lot (a heck of a lot). But I agree with Jezza - plunk him at Peel for the rest of the season. You don't leave one set of mates to go surfing with another. Your mates - during the footy season - are the blokes next to you in the trench, the ones you crawl out of the trench with. They are your only mates that matter - you rely on them, they rely on you. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. Put in a hard preseason and you'll another shot. See ya in 2018 Connor - tough luck but you make it yourself with the support of your mates (you arse-clown).

you make your bed.
reminds me of when i was called up(army),had no idea what sort of discipline was about to hit me.
one of the most infuriating things was,at 5.30 am ,you had to grab your bottom sheet and runout on parade, that's fine but a huge shock to someone leaving the comforts of home .
then you had to make your bed to specific instructions to the letter.before you could eat,
ok so off you go to brekkie, and low and behold if the corporal could not bounce a 20 cent coin on that bed it was demolished while you were away eating.so everyone in that room helped each other to make sure we all got it done.
suffice to say it took a long time to get it right.teamwork is one of the greatest things you get taught in the army, the bad eggs get sorted really quick, and not forgotten or forgiven easily.
so connor lets see if you can make it right.

Chill folks.

I can hear Bruce questioning him now, Brownlow hanging around his neck, about the surfing escapade of 2017 " ... was it really the turning point Connor or did you always think you had it in you?"

Connor " ... actually Bruce it was just before they got rid of Ross .... I think the board realised he'd lost the group when a young player who'd just signed an extension would do that. Best thing they ever did convincing Kirky to come back ... we all know Fyfey even called his twins Brett and Kirk ... geez we love him ...

It's a pity the army weren't as passionate about punctuation as they were about bed sheets.

I was waiting for the coach to be blamed. We come off a gutsy effort at Geelong and Connor thinks I've had a hard week I'm going surfing while my mates train....bloody Lyon.

I reckon if he went to that much trouble then he probably needed a bit of a surf.

Due to inferred media pressure, we hang, draw and Quarter our young fellas (eg Blakely, Simpson, Jeffery) for anything that will give CH eagle a chance to put the boots in. Meanwhile the mob up the road play loose and fast with most of the criminal code and a fair whack of the moral and ethical code and don't rate a mention.

A lot of of folk around here are pretty quick to sink the boots into Connor.
For all we know, he was probably going down south after training anyway. Maybe he got there, felt a little better after some of mum's soup, and decided to go for a surf. Who knows?

Tear his contract up and Bondy, be sure to get the wage cost of the 20 minutes he skipped taken out of the salary cap as well.

Is there any one down there who knows how to talk to young footballers as distinct from making statements?

Connor and Josh are two entirely different cases - Simpson was a prodigious talent, Connor is an unreliable arse-clown. As much as I like what Blakely does on the field I wouldn't want to play with him again. I wouldn't trust him to help when things got tough, sorry.

I have just learnt he completed the training and "left the club early".

He missed the 2 hour session where Ross says "push up and then roll back" on loop.....
