Most of our posts on Dockerland last game were all about lack of tackles, not closing the spaces, no pressure on the ball carrier. Most of us bagged Roly and staff for this, me included. Maybe he reads DL because they were so much better today. I enjoyed the whole match even though I was pretty sure we would be run over. They need to be commended on turning this around. It proves we can match anyone anywhere with this young squad if we do those basics right. Thats why its so infuriating when they dont. We had winners all over the ground.
The only thing that you should NEVER do against the Cats though is bomb in long to their third defender. Teams have been doing it for years and its like taking candy from a baby for the Cats. That would basically be my only criticism.
In the meantime though we can add two more names to our best 22, Hodor and Brennan Cox. Add them to Blakely, Langdon, Weller, Brad Hill and Hamling as the big quality additions to our premiership squad.
Jury is still out on McCarthy, Kirsten, Tucker, Hughes, Logue, Delucca and Ryan but its still very early days for them and I still think Ryan and Logue will join the other list sooner rather than later.
