I think hes great!! Hes shown more than enough already. Wants to have a go. Could teach Z Clarke a thing or two i reckon....

Right! He was great!. But if Sandi comes back in, Hodor must stay as well. Split ruck duties...and rest either one in the box at FF.
Or, do you have one specialise?. ...and if so, who?. Will be great for Darcy's progress to do a lot of rucking, and it extends Sandis footballing life.?
Or, do you leave it in the safe hands of Sandi,and impede Darcy's development?

sounds like he ran out of juice in the last qtr, pity we didn't play him as a 50/50 ruck forward with Griff in the brisbane game to let him see how demanding a full game at the top level is.

we simply have to keep him in the side when Sandi comes back, will offer that tall forward option we have been begging for and wont give the opposition any advantage when Sandi has a break and as said may even extend the big guys career if he only has to do 50-60% around the ground.

If we cant teach the midfield to lower their eyes bringing it into the 50 at least having Sandi or Hodor down there should provide a contest and bring the ball to ground when it gets bombed in.

The bloke is Sandilands Mark 2. He turns side on to ruck just like 211 does and is not afraid to throw his weight around. He's probably just as adept on a ride-on mower.

Unfortunately I can't see both playing in the same side. But the fact that Sandi never plays 22 games a season means Darcy should get opportunities to play in next the season and a half.

Darcy just signed a contract extension so hopefully we can look forward to seeing him play more games.

I feel sorry for Griff, he might not make it to 100 AFL games now.

It was his ground ball clearances and intuitive handballs that were just as impressive. We lost the game for a couple of reasons but at least one was, Hodor run out of puff in that last quarter and a half. Another preseason into the big kid and we win that game. Already elevated into a household favourite at my joint.

Agreed - Best debut for a first year 18yr old ruckman for sure. It will be interesting the comparison to Tim English in years to come, I am pretty happy with Darcy at the moment. Cox is pretty good too. I can't wait till we try and settle him back in defence permanently. We still have a lot of spuds but at least we are finding some gems.
