West Coasts defensive zone works on Subi and the Adelaide Oval.The round MCG and smaller Dome it doesn't work.If they can't rebound of the half back line the lack of pace in the midfield. Gets terribly exposed.There also a confordence side if things start bad they stay bad.

They are just getting over the line at home by beating Western Bulldogs, Sydney Swans and St Kilda by a couple of goals. St Kilda who kicked 19 points. Port Adelaide was a big disappointment as I expected them to belt them like Essendon yesterday. GWS will hit them this week.

I'm not sure if Simpson's position is more insecure with a win or a loss this coming weekend?
A win will do nothing to improve the "flat track bullies" argument whereas a loss may send the signal that they are just not that good full stop and he might actually be cut a tiny fraction more slack from the media.
Personally given the deep concern I feel for him and for all WC supporters I'm hoping for a large and stirring loss. Let the restumping talk begin!!

ps was so enjoyable to see them on the end of some harsher umpiring calls for once. Long may it continue..

Yep, still a chance for a fairytale ending for Kennedy. He never wanted to leave Carlton, but he's been a true professional at West Coast, and it's just a shame that club has let him down and never given him a realistic chance to win a flag. But he'll be 30 by the end of this season, and so he's still a chance to go home to Carlton and win a flag in the twilight of his career in the next few years on the back of their promising kids.

And West Coast can use the picks to help build a list around the next generation of superstars like Elliot Yeo.
