There's probably a good reason they called each club's business managers together for this meeting - most of the CEO's probably know little about football. I, and I would imagine most of the players and the football department staff, would rather have a bye instead of watching two luckless losers have another chance at redeeming themselves. It would give everyone chance to stock up on some beer supplies for the final series.
