At most, perhaps he wasn't progressing with his rehab to the high standards expected by the club, making both of these "incidents" a matter for the club to deal with however they see fit. I would hope that would include sitting him down for a talk and checking on his health, both mental and physical, and seeing what extra support and/or help he requires, if any.
